PLAZAS

Two small islands, which emerged from the sea near the eastern coast of Santa Cruz. Only the South Plaza Island is accessible to tourists. Despite its small size, it is a home to a great variety of species and is known for its colours that change during the year according to the blooming season of the plants which provide them. The steep cliffs are a roosting ground for a number of bird species, such as various tropical birds, sea gulls or boobies.
